Greetings from Hope to the Future Association.
On Saturday, August 28, 2021, the ‘Container of Hope 2021’ ceremony was held through online platforms ZOOM and YouTube.
The Republic of South Sudan is now suffering from famine as a result of numerous power struggles and civil conflicts since independence. Many of the country's oil production facilities have been destroyed, and many children, as well as the majority of the population, are suffering from starvation and sickness as a result of civil conflicts and a scarcity of food supplies.
Therefore, over the past years, we have carried out various programs such as translating Korean fairy tales and children's books (Korean to English), drawing Shoes of Hope, designing Lights of Hope, and launching the 'Drop the Gun, Pick up the Ball' Campaign, and safely delivering them to the Republic of South Sudan, Africa.
Furthermore, in 2021, we were able to provide warm meals from Korea to local communities in Jihad, the outskirts of Juba, where many crippled children dwell, in a blind spot of poverty and sickness. Because 'Bonsarang' powdered porridge not only contains a lot of nutrients but also tastes nice, locals preserve the dispersed quantity and share it with one another for as long as they can. The powdered porridge distributed to local inhabitants serves as a nutritious meal for around 1,000 youngsters near Juba, South Sudan, that may be consumed well every day for an extended period of time.
The aforementioned activities not only provide educational opportunities for children in South Sudan, but also serve as an opportunity to dream of hope for the future in nearby African areas. We sincerely thank everyone who has been with us for a meaningful time, and we ask for your continued interest and participation.
